Last week I went to a Foster Care Appreciation Dinner, organized by Church of the City. It was such a special night – and made even better by sitting down with some of my favorite foster mom friends! I had no idea that nurturing would also mean the gift of a beautiful community in my life!
I had my 32 week ultrasound to look at the various issues I had during this pregnancy. Good news – baby is finally head down and almost everything looks really good!! The echolocation just changed their visitor rules, so I got to take Silas with me!
These two love to lie on my lap – often at the same time!
Kaitlynn has a disposable camera to use for the prom and Kierstyn goes around and says “Say cheese” to us!
I also got to go to a painting evening with other local foster mothers, again organized by Church of the City. It was my first time painting an evening like this and to be honest I wasn’t sure what I would think!
Besides that I love hanging out with my fellow foster mom friends…
I was actually quite shocked at how my painting turned out! For someone who is not at all artistic when it comes to this sort of thing, I couldn’t believe that all the step-by-step help from the painter while we were working on this project really paid off!
I started my Red Raspberry Leaf tea, dates and evening primrose oil regimen in preparation for childbirth. I can’t believe I only have 6 1/2 weeks or less until the baby is here!
Silas has been on two baseball teams in recent months (his year-round travel team + seasonal high school team). It meant a lot of time wasted on multiple baseball games a week (we try to get to all of his games!), but I’m so grateful for the opportunity he gets to play this sport that he enjoys so much. Plus, so much more is learned than baseball!
Kierstyn always likes it when there is a playground by the ball field!
This last baseball game we found a nest of baby bunnies on the playground!!
