Export Sales Manager

Job description :
PURPOSE STATEMENT: To manage the Company’s export sales in designated territories with the aim of maximizing sales volumes and profitability and achieving market positions in each designated territory in line with the strategic plans of the Company KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES : • To manage the company’s export sales within designated territories and achieve the company export sales targets with regard to volume, sales value and profitability by using his own personal selling efforts and/or with the sales support of appointed distributors • Ensure the proper selection of the company’s distributors in each territory, ensuring their good market knowledge and quality local reputation, suitable customer base, stockholding capability, good customer service, ability to fund working capital needs, good creditworthiness, provision of good geographic and product range coverage • Ensure the professional leadership, management and motivation of the company’s distributors in each territory through regular market visits, ensuring effective communication the company’s philosophies, policies and objectives and providing field sales support, advice, training and system • Develop, deliver and co-ordinate effective field sales and marketing programs within each territory, including market and competitor intelligence gathering, exhibitions, seminars and other promotional work, and assist with the development and test marketing of new products within designated territories • Ensure the accurate and realistic forecasting of potential sales volumes for each territory and assist the Export Manager with the management of the business as required • Co-ordinate with the Marketing Department in issues relating to market and competitor intelligence, marketing communications and marketing activity and with the Technical Department on issues relating to specification support, product and systems testing, new product development and quality issues, ensuring that both departments are adequately briefed on the local conditions in any designated export territory • Develop expertise in export market rules and regulations (including those relating to labelling, health, safety, import licensing requirements, foreign exchange regulations, product liability, agency laws) and ensure compliance with local so as to limit the company’s exposure to risk • Best ensure the safety of all staff on Company and Customer premises
Qualifications :
QUALIFICATION : • Bachelor Degree or higher in any related field. • At least 5 years of experience in the area of technical products sales, preferably building related and distributor management • Ideally within a fast-moving export environment • Able to grasp technical concepts easily, self-starter and go-getter, uses own initiatives • Good command of spoken and written English • Able to travel overseas, middle-east is required
